Last week was a very weird week for the Canton Crew. We had our strongest Monday since opening week but the following days were not as impressive as last week's "fastfood experience". That was expected, oh my gosh, we can't top that... (and then again we can never be too sure!) I had sore throat last Thursday so I had to stay at home the rest of the day. Good thing Neil was there to take my place.
The next day I came back to work even though I was still a little dry and queasy. Thank God for our 4 to 7 crew, Majals and Neil, they really take the pressure off our backs! It was Friday, it should be our strongest day... but to our surprise, the place was as empty as our wallets. What good thing can happen today?!?! Pegaraw, Rural's major production at DL, was onstage that night. Maybe that explains why there aren't many people around. Our batcmates Michi and Mam Denise was also at the cafe last Friday. Michi was going to watch Pegaraw. Padeys, Joyce, Ate Faye, and Ate Manell also went to watch the play.
After a while, Joyce called... "Hulaan mo kung sino tumawag...", she asked me, "...ay hindi mo pala mahuhulaan..Summit Media (what?!)...Entrepreneur Magazine (ha!??!?)..blah blah..blah" Oh my gosh, I was shocked! Nag-tumbling talaga ako ng literal sa cafe! To break the monotony of it all... ayun... nilagnat ako uli.
It was weird because I've been reading old issues of Entrep magazine lately. Little did I know, mga tsong, little did we know...
The interview was schelduled at 1 pm the following day, so we had to sleep early and prepare the cafe for our guests. Mon and Jenni arrived early, followed by Manong Retz, Dan, Neil, and Padeys.
Ms. Cindy Escobin, the freelance writer for Entrepreneur Magazine, together with our regular customer Sir Eppie (tama ba spelling, sir?) arrived on time. The interview lasted for almost an hour. After that we gave them free Ham and Egg Sandwiches and a Red Velvet Frothiccino. I went home right after, kasi nilagnat ako uli.
