Our Iced Tea Just Became Pink

Remember when our loyal customer, Aldo, ordered iced teas with strawberry syrup? Well, we "stole" his idea and made the drink a part of our regular menu. Some said it was too sweet but I already did something about it. So the next time you order our "Blended Strawberry Iced Tea" it will be better than the last time. For our new customers, just ask the cashier, RETZ (his real name is CUSTER, when spelled backwards it's RETSUC, but RETSUC is too long and hence the monicker, RETZ), for the "Blended Strawberry Iced Tea" (only Php 50).

Making the Boring Milkshake More Exciting

We have our milkshake, chocolate and strawberry milkshakes. Classic flavors, but sometimes the classics just bore us. So we made the "Caramilkshake". It's just your classic milkshake with a few pumps of caramel this and caramel that, blah blah... It definitely tastes better than our milkshake!

From now on, when you order a Cafe Mocha, we will write your name ON the drink so you can take a picture of it using your camera phone. You can request other designs just ask the barista what he can do. Yung madali lang ha, no extra charge!

New Menu Board

Change Your Web Banners!!!

The first web banner we posted and made available at the cafe is WRONG! The banner is linked to its PHOTOBUCKET source instead of the cafe's blog. I've also posted the the wrong banner to some of our friends at Friendster. Ang tama lang na banner ay yung sakin, Joyce, Nica, Kuya Wak, Kuya Rayvin, at sa Cafe Antonio Dumaguete. Game Night!

We had a blast serving at the cafe yesterday, we didn't take a break all day! Retz, Dan, and I even forgot to eat dinner. But it was all worth it...

A lot of specials were ordered yesterday, I remember blending a couple of caramel creams, cookies and cream, choco-mac, uhh..., vanilla sky... I think there was a rocky road. A number of black forests were also served.

Apologies to Aldo's group, we forgot to give you free "iced tea-riffic" stickers on your takeout.

But the best part of the day was when 3 groups started to play our in-house games. Two groups played Uno while the other played Monopoly. Retz, Mon, Andre, and Ate Marisse also played cards on the other table.

It was a sight to remember. It was past 1 am but we were still open. I hope today would be as exciting as yesterday, or even better!

Cafe Antonio has introduced some new terms to the ELBI bean scene. Here's a guide that can help when you order.

Frothiccino - An espresso-based, ice-blended drink mixed with either chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, or strawberry sauce topped with whipped cream and drizzled with corresponding flavored sauce. (16 oz)

Frajelli - An espresso-based, ice-blended drink mixed with either chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, or strawberry sauce with cubes of coffee jelly at the bottom of the cup. Served with no whipped cream. (16 oz)

Iced Tea Blended - Our own iced tea concoction blended with ice. (16 oz)

Iced Coffee - A shot of espresso on the rocks splashed with freshmilk and chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, or strawberry sauce. (12 oz)

It's the first day of the first week of the school year and the cafe has made a lot of changes:

- we now have a black curtain to conceal the kitchen;
- we ordered a new table plus four chairs;
- we pimped the couch area;
- we hired Dan as our full-time cook and Retz was promoted to cashier;
- and Nica is listed as day-to-day while Joyce is looking for a job as nutritionist.

Yesterday, Nica had to go to the hospital to watch over her sister while Joyce and Padeys went to Waltermart in Calamba to buy some important stuff we need for the cafe. That left Dan, Retz, and I to man the cafe for several hours. There were a lot of orders but somehow we managed to keep our poise and rationality on. Yes, the cafe survived with just 3 people...

Joyce and Padeys came back later that evening and helped around. But Joyce had to go home early with her tita and Ate Manell. Padeys stayed with us until closing time.

From now on, you will be seeing a new team working at the cafe. Retz will be at the counter to take your orders instead of Nica. Dan will be making your sandwiches and pasta instead of Joyce. And I would still be either blending your drinks and/or serving it to you.
